Food Allergens & Labelling Courses

Accredited allergen awareness and management training — plus food labelling guidance — so your teams can protect customers and meet legal duties with confidence.

Why it matters

Food allergens training courses

The law requires that certain food allergens be specifically highlighted in the ingredients list on a food label. Allergens also need to be declared for loose foods — so caterers and retailers must have accurate allergen information available for every product and menu item.

Getting this wrong can be serious — and potentially fatal — for customers with food allergies. As well as food allergen e-learning, we run these one-day classroom courses.

Which course do you need?

  • Level 2 — food handlers & service staff
  • Level 3 — managers, owners & those controlling ingredients
  • Online — Introduction to Food Allergens
  • Labelling — complex FIC / Natasha’s Law duties

Food labelling

Food labelling training courses

The Food Information to Consumers (FIC) Regulation has modified and consolidated food label provisions. The main additions relate to allergen declarations and nutritional data.

Food label requirements are complex and vary from product to product. In the main, they apply to prepackaged foods rather than foods sold loose — with exemptions where foods are packed on the same site they are sold from.
