Who’s it for?
This Level 3 food hygiene certification is usually reserved for supervisors, team leaders and line managers working within the food industry who wish to bring their knowledge of properly coordinated food hygiene practices well above the industry standard. The qualification is also suitable for those owning/managing smaller businesses.
What options are available?
We offer the Level 3 food hygiene certificate — accredited face-to-face, virtual (trainer video with online support), remote (streamed training) and online training. There are no pre-requisites for the intermediate food hygiene qualification. However it is a good idea for you to already have the Foundation (Level 2) food hygiene training certificate. Arrangements are in place for special needs.

How is it assessed?
Learners must complete 45 questions within 90 minutes. Successful learners must demonstrate knowledge and understanding across the qualification syllabus and achieve a pass mark of 66% (30/45). Learners receive a Distinction if they achieve 80% (36/45). Following the course you will be sent a Level 3 Award in Supervising Food Safety in Catering certificate.

What will I get out of it?
The aim of the three-day Level 3 Award in Supervising Food Safety training course is to make you aware of a supervisor’s responsibilities and due diligence with regard to food safety. It ensures you are fully versed in food hygiene legislation and how to best communicate the required hygiene standards to your team.
