Who’s it for?

This one-day qualification is aimed at anyone involved in the management of fire safety in any workplace. This includes supervisors, team leaders, fire wardens (marshals) and staff working in any areas where there is a potential risk of fire. There are no prerequisites for this qualification, but it is advised that candidates have a minimum of Level 1 in literacy or numeracy or equivalent. Arrangements are in place for special needs.

What’s it about?

The Level 2 Award in Managing Fire Safety develops basic fire safety awareness and provides the knowledge to carry out duties relating to fire safety and emergency procedures.

How is it assessed?

There is a 45-minute 20-question multiple-choice test at the end of the course and you need 12 out of 20 to pass. Following the course you will be sent a Level 2 Award in Fire Safety certificate.
