BRC accreditation and certification

BRC accreditation and certification — renowned internationally and recognised by GFSI — with practical mentoring from Safer Food Scores.

What is BRC?

BRC accreditation explained

BRC accreditation is an independent food safety certification scheme developed by the British Retail Consortium. It is recognised by supermarkets and large organisations as proof that high food safety standards are in place and that a food company is safe to supply.

BRC Global (BRCGS) is renowned internationally and recognised by the GFSI (Global Food Safety Initiative). Companies with more than 50 employees, or those that wish to export, may find BRCGS more suitable than SALSA.

Mentoring

How we can help you

We mentor food manufacturers and warehouse & distribution organisations to achieve BRC Global food accreditation. We gather information on your operation, run a gap analysis against the relevant standard, and issue a clear action plan.

If required we train HACCP teams, devise plans and pre-requisite programmes, arrange sampling and interpret lab reports. We book and attend the BRC Global audit with you, then visit regularly to keep standards upheld.
