Food Labelling

Nutritional Labelling Analysis

Our food label experts can calculate the nutritional information needed for food labels or menus — or arrange product testing via our laboratory partners.

Legal context

Nutritional labelling and the law

Prepacked food in the UK must be labelled with its nutritional content in the legally prescribed format.

Nutritional information is not required for packs where the largest surface area is less than 25 cm²; certain minimally processed or low-nutrition foods; or manufacturers supplying small quantities directly to consumers or local retailers.

Our service

About our nutritional labelling services

We calculate nutritional content for products and menu items, or arrange testing with our partner laboratory. Data may be needed to meet label regulations or provided voluntarily to customers.

We also advise how nutritional information must be presented on a food label and run food labelling training courses.
